The ENE receives the grants totaling more than 57million N.T. dollars from the National Science Council each year for the related research. The institute has also established cooperative research relationships with other research institute and local high-tech industry. There are about 12 million N.T. dollars grants each year from them.
Institute of Electronics Engineering also actively participates the designed series courses in the field of 「Semiconductor industry and manufacturing」and「Microsystem technology」to helps training students in integrated scientific area.
The ENE comprises 2 teaching Laboratories, 2 common research Labs, and 14other related Labs. The microelectronic Lab, and semiconductor processing Lab, provides basic fabrication technologies for the graduate and undergraduate experiment courses. The MEMS center and ULSI Lab. research new devices, material, and physics concepts and explore some of the applications and systems enabled by above novel technology. Currently, the physical resources to support MEMS and ULSI research occupy the Bldg Engineering Ⅲ. This complex also provides office space for approximately 40 graduate students. The CAD, testing, and modeling Labs. with office space for other 35 graduate students are located in Bldg. Education. All the faculty offices are arranged in Bldg. EECS. Total space of ENE is about 730 pyngs.
